Hi, so, I know that in the grand scheme of things it hasn't been that long since "Inroads" was released, but here we are again!
I had a lot of fun making the last album, but by the time it was released I had this overwhelming sense that I could have done much better. I'm still happy with how "Inroads" turned out; however, I'm also always looking for ways to improve my work; I had learned so much in the process of mixing and mastering "Inroads" that when it was finally done, I immediately wanted to get back to work, apply what I had learned, and put out a better and more personally representative album. This is that. It's got a little more complexity to it, and I experiment with a few production tools and ideas I avoided in the first album. I like to think that "Thoroughfare" is "Inroads's" big brother: just like his sibling, but a little more developed.
In case you were wondering, yes, I do want to go back to the drawing-board as soon as possible─again. I've got a lot of new things I want to try out (newer new things), and I'm really excited about it.
Fair warning: the next album might be quite a departure from these two. In the meantime though, enjoy "Thoroughfare"!
